I am sure you will all join me in saying a very warm welcome to Mrs Sarah Potts, our newest office team member. She has been a real delight to work with and it feels like we have known her much longer than the few weeks she has been with us. We're really pleased to have you with us and look forward to continuing to work with you for many years to come!!!
As we all know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markel are marrying tomorrow. Our children have been celebrating in school and have had a very regal buffet and picnic in the sunshine to mark the occassion. It was the perfect day to eat our lunch outside on our blankets, flying the flag and looking forward to the royal wedding. We thank our lovely catering team and dinnertime supervisors for all their hard work and organisation of delicious food and fun. Let's hope the sun stays out for the happy couple on Saturday too.
Staying Safe in the Sun
With the weather being as warm and sunny as it has been, can we all please ensure that our children come to school with sun cream on and hats to wear during lunchtime when it is forecast sunny and/or hot please. Water bottles should also be provided each day to keep children hydrated during the hot periods as they can then refill them during the day from our water fountains.

Parking to ensure our children are safe: a FURTHER plea!!!
Parents and carers are approaching our school office, worried about the apparent lack of care and consideration by some parents/ carers when parking in the roads by school. The yellow lines in front of the school building are there for a VERY good reason: to keep our children who walk to and from school SAFE! PLEASE ensure safe choices are made when dropping off your children: stopping on the yellow lines could be jeopardising the safety of others, and even though you may believe parking that bit further away from school is inconvenient, it is a much safer option for our children. We thank you in advance for your support and co-operation in this matter.
Meet the teacher transition afternoons
Yes...it's that time of year again. Where did the time go? Next half term, our children will be meeting their next teachers and spending time in their new classrooms for an hour in the afternoon (2-3pm). This will be done each Thursday afternoon for four consecutive weeks leading up to the end of the Summer term. The first one will take place on Thursday 28th June.
